Girls' Basketball Tryouts

1. Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination forms must be completed and turned into the front office prior to the first day of tryouts. These forms will be available at the organizational meeting and in the front office. If your child does not have these forms completed, she will not be permitted to tryout.
* On Thursday, September 9th sports physicals will be available after school for the cost of $25.00. Please make checks payable to TCMS and have all forms filled out.
2. Important Dates and Times – Tryouts will begin directly after school and will run until 5:00 PM every day. Parents should be in the front of the school by 5:00PM to pick up their children.
a. Monday, September 13th – Tryouts for 6th graders only
b. Tuesday, September 14th – Tryouts for 7th graders only
c. Wednesday, September 15th – Tryouts for 8th graders
d. Thursday, September 16th – Callbacks for all grade levels
Students who are unable to attend tryouts on the day scheduled for their grade level, should make arrangements with Coach Clark to attend on an alternate day.
All athletes interested in trying out for the girls basketball team must participate in one of the 3 tryout days listed above. Students will not be granted an extension to accommodate conflicts in schedules, absences, incomplete physical form, etc.
3. We are fortunate at Tomahawk Creek Middle School to have a tremendous number of students who want to participate in girls’ basketball in order to ensure athlete safety and to best supervise students, we will be making cuts. Athletes will complete a series of drills on their tryout day. The data collected on that day will be used to choose the 2010 Girls Basketball Team.
4. To be eligible to represent Tomahawk Creek on the girls’ basketball team, students must have passed 5 subjects the previous semester.
Practice Times: Monday through Friday 3:00–5:00 PM (Times subject to change)
Parents need to have their children picked up in front of the school by 5:10 PM on practice days! Thanks!
